Traveling to Brussels from abroad

If you need to get to Belgium by train, book a ticked to the train station Bruxelles Midi / Brussel Zuid. There is an underground tram line connecting this tram station Rogier (located at five minutes from the conference venue). Take tram lines 3 or 4.

The closest airport is Brussels Airport. There is a train that connects this airport to the train station Bruxelles Midi / Brussel Zuid. From there on you can take an underground tram line connecting this tram station Rogier (located at five minutes from the conference venue). Take lines 3 or 4. Alternatively, you can take a train from the airport to the train station Bruxelles Nord / Brussel Noord. You may walk to the university from there (15 minute walk).

Belgium also has another international airport called Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CLR). Please be aware that this airport is not really located in Brussels itself but roughly 60 km from Brussels. It is possible to take a taxi but we recommend the shuttle connection. You can book tickets for the Brussels City Shuttle between Brussels South Charleroi Airport and the train station Bruxelles Midi here. From there on you can take an underground tram line connecting this tram station Rogier (located at five minutes from the conference venue). Take lines 3 or 4.
