Dear user of http://www.discourseanalysis.net,
As founding president of DiscourseNet, I have worked with many people over the last two years in order to give birth to our new association, which is behind the webpage. We have created a Board which reflects our disciplinary and geographical breadth as well as about a dozen new working and reading groups. We run the DiscourseNet publication hub and the DiscourseNet events, which are now mostly online. Here you can find more information about the association: https://discourseanalysis.net/DN
DiscourseNet was founded two years ago during the DNC3ALED congress in Paris. My term is now coming to an end and we will elect a new team representing DiscourseNet during our DiscourseNet Assembly on the 20th of October at 5pm CET (online).
In June, Felicitas Macgilchrist, who oversees the election, invited candidate teams to come forward (elections@discourseanalysis.net). Please note that the deadline for expressions of interest has been extended until September 30th 2021. Everybody is invited to attend the DiscourseNet Assembly and you will find the Zoom link and more information about candidate teams on our election page: https://discourseanalysis.net/DN/election2021.
Please be aware that only members can vote who have paid the 30€ annual fee. Your support and contribution is crucial for us in these difficult times while we can’t have bigger physical meetings any more. We will be grateful about more members joining. Just write to membership@discourseanalysis.net.
The Assembly will also give us a chance to exchange over your experiences and ideas for the future. I look forward to seeing you on the 20th.
The DiscourseNet Assembly will take place during the first day of DNC4 at Budapest and members can attend all online sessions (https://discourseanalysis.net/DN/DNC4)
