Presentation
The irony and humor pragmatic facts are complex, but common in languages. The irony is a procedure that infers the opposite of what was said or something else, which requires the recipient of the message know to make sense of the speaker's ironic. For its part, the humor is a much broader phenomenon that relates to the essence of being human: we speak, then, whether to have a sense of humor, or use it for therapeutic purposes, for mental illness, incurable diseases or education. The language processing, in particular, pragmatic, these two events has been the object of study of the research group Grail (http://www.griale.es) in recent years. The International Symposium presented here aims to answer basic questions about this pragmatic approach, for example:
What is irony?
What is humor?
What is the relationship between irony and humor?
How text genres influence the use of humor?
What role do cognitive frameworks in understanding the humor and irony?

To this end, have been invited to attend the meeting of experts in irony and humor to present their perspectives on these and other key elements. It also will feature two panel discussions that will allow discussion and further debate. Similarly, it will accept a limited number of communications of a maximum of 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute conversation. The committee will consider only those proposals as they revolve around the following research areas:

1. Relations between irony and humor
2. Marks and indicators of irony and / or humor
3. Cognitive, ethnographic and pragmatic use of irony and / or humor.
4. Text genres for humor.
