Feride Zeynep Güder was born in Antakya and completed her primary and secondary education in the Kırıkhan district of Hatay. After graduating from Çukurova University, HMK Education Faculty in 1988, she served as an elementary school teacher in eastern Turkey, specifically in Erzincan and Erzurum. She graduated from Atatürk University, Department of English Language and Education, in 1994 and worked as an English teacher in Ankara in 1994 and in Istanbul from 1995 to 1997. After working for a year at Trakya University, Faculty of Education in 1997, she worked at Istanbul Kültür University, Department of Foreign Languages, until 2016. In 2004, she completed her master's degree in the Department of English Language and Literature at Istanbul Kültür University with a thesis on "Critical Reading," supervised by Prof. Dr. Nebile Direkçigil. She completed her doctorate in 2012 from Istanbul University's journalism department with her thesis, "Political Humor in Political Communication: A Case Study; An Examination of Semih Balcıoğlu's Güle Güle İstanbul Cartoons," supervised by Nurdoğan Rigel. Between 2006 and 2010, she engaged in amateur photography and documentary work, having received training from the Galata Photography Academy. In 2018, she became an associate professor in the field of communication studies. She is working at Üsküdar University and teaches courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, including "Critical Digital Literacy," "Critical AI Literacy," "Cross-cultural Communication," "Digital Media and Translation," "Digital Culture," "Discourse Analysis," "Language, Society and Culture," "Literature, Society and Culture," "Memory and Culture in New Media Ecology," "Techno-culture and Critical Reading," "Communication Theories," "Urban Sociology," "Urban and Social Memory," "Intercultural Communication," "Media and Truth," "Media and Ideology," "Postmodernism," and "Political Communication." At the CIM conference held in the USA in 2013, he was awarded the "Best Presentation Paper" award, and at the international conference organized by HSSMR in Barcelona in 2020, she was awarded the "Best Paper" award. Güder is the author of the books "Language of Persuasion and Media,", "Voyeuristic Gaze," "The Last Look at Istanbul," and "Critical Artificial Intelligence Literacy: Epistemological and Neuro-Cognitive Transformations." She is the translator of the book "Foucault, Marxism, and History." She moderated the academic program "Beyond the Lines." With a holistic and interdisciplinary approach, she focuses on core disciplines such as digital humanities, digital media, epistemology, and philosophy of technology. Within this academic research area, she specifically focuses on fields such as algorithmic culture, augmented intelligence, memory, critical AI literacy, trustworthy AI, metacognitive and metacognitive reading strategies, neurocognitive critical epistemology, Neo-Platonism, and political epistemology. She has written national and international articles, books, and book chapters in these fields. Güder graduated from the 2024 AUZEF "Philosophy" and the 2025 Anadolu University "Cultural Heritage and Tourism" departments and is a final-year student in the Atatürk University "Web Design and Coding" department.
