Yasemin Erdoğan-Öztürk is a sociolinguist and discourse analyst currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of English Language & Literature at Karabük University, Türkiye. She received her PhD in English Language Teaching (Language Studies Track) from Middle East Technical University (METU). Her research is situated within the sociolinguistics of migration and focuses on how multilingualism, language ideologies, and the gendered dynamics of migration are negotiated in transnational settings. Drawing on linguistic ethnography and critical discourse studies, she examines the politics of linguistic identity and belonging in migratory and minority contexts, with particular attention to return migration, diaspora communities, and digitally mediated interaction. She is the co-coordinator of the Discourse and Corpus Research Group (DISCORE) based at METU, Ankara.
