I'm a lecturer and researcher in linguistics at UWE Bristol. My current research focuses on police-victim communication during domestic abuse first response, building on an ESRC doctoral project at Cardiff University. My broader research interests converge on interactions in institutional and professional contexts, with a focus on power, vulnerability and linguistic disadvantage.
