Lydie-Karnikova

I am a researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History of Czech Academy of Sciences. With background in media sociology and critical discourse studies, I focus on polarization and hegemony in the (digital) public sphere. Particularly, I focus on the processes of memory and identity construction in the Central-Eastern European post-socialist context, blending the perspectives of discourse studies, memory studies, cultural geography or postcolonial theory. I am interested in alternative epistemologies.
