DiscourseNet Elections / Voting commences 19 October 2026

Dear DiscourseNet community, 

Time to vote! All paid-up members of DiscourseNet, the International Association for Discourse Studies, are invited to vote in the upcoming elections for the Association's new Steering Group. The election will begin during the Annual General Meeting (AGM), to which Aurora Fragonara, General Secretary of DiscourseNet Association, invited all members today. 

Three key pieces of information today:

First, during the AGM, 19 October 2026, from 12 noon (CEST), the new steering group will present their programme, with time for questions and discussion. We will start the online voting during the AGM. Voting will continue for one week, ending on 26 October 2026. 

Each paid-up active member of the Association will receive a personalised email from balatilo with an individual link to vote. Keep an eye out for an email from balatilo on 19 October. If you think you should have received an email and did not, please reach out to me (Felicitas) at elections@discourseanalysis.net.

Second, this is the last call for further candidate teams. Please let me (Felicitas at elections@discourseanalysis.net) know before 30 September 2026 if you would like to put forward a team for a steering group.
