Dennis Puorideme

I am Dennis Puorideme from Ghana and I hold a PhD in Interdisciplinary Discourse Studies from Aalborg University, Denmark. I am interested in studying discourses in contemporary societies in the widest sense from interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary perspectives. Currently, I focus on Development Discourses Studies with an interdisciplinary research interest in humanities and social sciences disciplines, and sub-disciplines/fields including gender and sexuality, public policy and programmes, organisation, government, social protection, and international development. I understand discourse, first, as the various ways in which language is used – writing, speech, silence, bodily gestures; and second, as a specific socially constructed perspective – social actors negotiate and constitute meaning, relations and identities in socio-political and cultural contexts. I am open to active academic networking and collaboration globally!
