Gestures: How to analyse forms, functions, and meanings

In the week of January 10-14, 2022, the VU Amsterdam Graduate Winter School will offer an online course (3 EC) on “Gestures: How to analyse forms, functions, and meanings”. This introduction to gesture analysis is geared towards MA and PhD students as well as professionals. It is intended for those who have no background in gesture studies but who wish to learn more about communication by studying speakers’ manual movements in relation to spoken discourse. The course will be taught in English and will be conducted via Zoom.
