Liebe Kolleg*innen, sehr geehrte Interessierte,
wir möchten Sie gern auf unsere Abschlusstagung Decoding Antisemitism: Impulse zur Bekämpfung von Antisemitismus online hinweisen.
Digitaler Hass hat viele Gesichter und richtet sich gegen verschiedene Gruppen. In den Weiten der digitalen Kommunikation ist er schwer zu (er)fassen, da entsprechende Akteure bemüht sind, ihren Hass verdeckt zu kommunizieren, um einer sozialen Stigmatisierung zu entgehen. Infolgedessen tappen Politik und Prävention oftmals im Dunkeln und suchen nach Antworten und Best Practices aus der Forschung, wie mit digitalem Hass umzugehen ist, wie er sich beschreiben, erfassen und bekämpfen lässt.
Zum Ende der Projektlaufzeit von Decoding Antisemitism wollen wir einen Rahmen für den Austausch von wissenschaftlichen, bildnerischen und zivilgesellschaftlichen Akteur*innen in der Präventions- und Bildungsarbeit gegen Antisemitismus im Netz schaffen. So werden in vier parallel stattfindenden Workshops Impulse für die Bekämpfung von Antisemitismus online geboten – durch justizielle Ahndung, durch die Stärkung von Counter-Speech, durch Deradikalisierungsangebote und durch den Einsatz von KI zur verbesserten Moderation sozialer Plattformen.

Dear all,
We would like to invite you to our event - Decoding Antisemitism: Impulses for combating anti-Semitism online.
Digital hate has many faces and is directed against various groups. In the vastness of digital communication, it is difficult to grasp: relevant actors try to covertly communicate their hatred in order to avoid social stigmatisation. As a result, politics and prevention often grope in the dark and look for answers and best practices from research on how to deal with digital hate, how to describe it, record it and combat it.
Near the end of the pilot phase of the Decoding Antisemitism project, we want to create a framework for the exchange of scientific, artistic and civil society actors in prevention and educational work against antisemitism online. Four parallel workshops will offer impulses for combating antisemitism online - through judicial punishment, through strengthening counter-speech, through de-radicalisation offers and through the use of AI to improve moderation of social platforms.
