I am interested in sociolinguistics and discourse studies, particularly political and security discourse, as well as power and ideology. My research focuses on North Korean political discourse, language policies, and the role of language in authoritarian regimes. I am currently a Navy officer teaching linguistics at the Republic of Korea Naval Academy, and I will transition to a faculty position after completing my PhD at Yonsei University. I am actively engaged in introducing my research on these topics to international academic journals and hope to collaborate with other scholars in this field. My interests include critical discourse analysis, ideology, and media discourse.
