I'm a tenure-track researcher and assistant professor at the University of Milan, where I teach Chinese language, culture, and translation. I hold a PhD in History, Institutions, and International Relations of Modern and Contemporary Asia and Africa from the University of Cagliari. My research focuses on contemporary China’s political and media discourses, with particular attention to soft power and discursive practices. I'm also active in translation studies and Chinese–Italian translation of both fiction and non-fiction. My publications include the monograph Genealogy of Wenhua Ruan Shili 文化软实力 (libreriauniversitaria.it, 2023), and, with Martina Caschera, I co-edited the volume Media cinesi. Fonti, metodi, analisi (Carocci, 2025). I'm a member of the Contemporary Asia Research Centre (CARC) at the University of Milan.
