Hülya MISIR

Hülya Mısır obtained a Ph.D. in the Language Studies Track at the Department of English Language Teaching (ELT), Middle East Technical University, Türkiye, in 2023, supported by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. She was a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at Florida International University. She co-founded the METU DIScourse and COrpus REsearch (DISCORE) Group. Her academic interests lie in corpus linguistics, sociolinguistics, and discourse studies. Her research mainly involves corpus-assisted discourse studies, corpus pragmatics, social media studies, multimodal analysis of the theory of Translanguaging, and language change.
