Are you interested in the question of truth and post-truth in contemporary public discourses? If so, perhaps you would like to become involved in my online seminar for graduate students and early-career researchers? In this seminar, we will

1) develop a theoretical idea of the epistemic value of discourse in scientific and non-scientific contexts,
2)  discuss various historical instances of contested truth claims in science and politics,
3)  develop and improve our own epistemic projects in the active and regular exchange with all participants of the seminar.

In order to participate, you will fulfill the following four conditions:

1) You will need to be a motivated early-career researcher who is working or wants to work on a topic relevant to this area.
2) You want to  commit to preparing and attending a monthly seminar of around two hours. This will mean regular involvement over the year, reading some texts and also presenting your own work.
3) You will be available to meet for the kick-off meeting on Wednesday, May 8 2024 at 12-1pm (BST, London time).
4) You will need to give me an idea of your background (possibly with a CV), your research ideas (a proposal if available) and how you might relate/contribute to the event.

If you are interested, please drop me an email as soon as you can but no later than Tuesday (07/05/2024). The number of places is limited to around ten people. Once the seminar has started, the group will be established and active contributions can come only from regulars.

I'll be happy to hear from you.
