I'm a postdoctoral researcher focusing on politics of education and sociology of education in Faculty of Education and Culture, Tampere University, Finland. My doctoral dissertation ”Tracing Ideology in Education – Investigations in Discourse Theory” (2024) scrutinizes the post-structuralist Essex School of Discourse Theory in the ideology-critical analysis of politics of education and Finnish education policies. In the work I argue that it is indispensable that we theorise the workings of ideological and use concepts of theories of ideology in educational research.
