My academic background is in sociology and critical discourse studies, and I am interested in the practice and development of collaborative and reflexive approaches to critical research. My current research is primarily concerned with mainstream media, social movement discourse, and the role of digital technologies in maintaining and resisting systems of power abuse, particularly within the context of anti-Black violence and oppression in the Americas.
