Samiah has been an EFL and AFL teacher in Saudi Arabia, USA, Spain and the UK. She started as a theoretical linguist and then moved to the area of Teacher Training after her MA in Linguistics for TESOL Professionals. Her PhD at the University of Warwick investigates the role of collaborative reflective discourse in teacher's Intercultural/Interpersonal Training. Samiah is a lecturer in TESOL at King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. She is also a facilitator for workshops on Intercultural Awareness & Training. Her research interests are concerned with reflective practice, teacher training, and intercultural competence. Her work sits within the epistemological and methodological traditions of co-constructivist participatory research and practitioner research.
