I am currently in the final stages of writing up my PhD at the  University of Birmingham.

My thesis a Corpus Assisted Discourse Study which compares pro-EU media coverage and EU elite discourse in the six months leading up to the British EU membership referendum.

I am also interested in the use of corpus methods for linguistic analysis more broadly and am currently working on a project looking at non-canonical syntax in literary texts dating from the 1500s - 1900s.
