I analyze video recordings, exploring how different ritual orders overlap in practice. I also conduct textual discourse analyses to identify the cultural context of differences and misunderstandings in communication. Recently, I have been interested in references to authenticity, emotional work in bodywork services, and the dynamics of participant inclusion and exclusion in multiparty interactions.
