Invitation to send in abstracts for the panel "Tranformations of political discourse", organised by Johannes Angermuller.
This panel examines the contemporary metamorphoses of political discourse in the Latin American context, paying special attention to the reconfigurations that involve both the discursive practices of political actors as well as the dynamics of circulation and reception of political messages. In a scenario marked by the digitalisation of the public sphere, the emergence of new populisms and the reconfiguration of communicative media, it is necessary to fundamentally analyze how political sentiments are constructed, negotiated and disputed. The panel seeks to generate an interdisciplinary dialogue that contributes to understanding the complexities of Latin American and other political discourses in their historical and coyuntural dimension, bringing analytical insights to interpret political phenomena from a critical and situated perspective.
The panel is open to contributions in Spanish, Portuguese, English and French. Please make a note in your abstract if you want to be included in this panel.
