DNC6 Programme

You can download the most recent version of the DNC6 program here (update of 3/07/2025). We ask all presenters to verify if all information pertaining to their paper is correct. We do not intend to modify the program anymore. 

DNC6 takes place in building R of the ULB Solbosch Campus (see the map below). The entrance of the conference venue is located at Avenue F.D. Roosevelt 42 - 1050 Brussels, Belgium. Click here to find the location on Google Maps . A picture of the main entrance is provided below.

(!) If your contribution has been marked in orange this means that no (co-)author has sent in the registration form. 

We also would like to provide some practical information: 

• Presenters will have 20 minutes for their talks + 10 minutes of Q&A.
• Please bring your PowerPoint presentations on a USB stick.
• There will be computers in each room. 
• All contributions have been grouped thematically in panels of three presentations. 
• We recommend providing a PowerPoint in English or French if you present in Spanish or Portuguese to maximize your audience at this multilingual event. 

Please note that registration for the congress is not be complete until payment of membership fees for the DiscourseNet Association (see the DNC6 website for instructions). If you have not done so yet, please do so before the start of the congress.

• It is not possible to request changes for logistical reasons. Please note that some of the presentations included in the book of abstracts have been canceled.

• We advise you to start by identifying papers in the most recent version of the program and to search for the abstracts in this document for more information.

• The abstracts have been ordered alphabetically by names of the first author of the paper.

DNC6 Lunch meetings

DNC6 is a place for interdisciplinary exchange about Discourse and the imaginaries of past, present and future societies: media and representations of (inter)national (dis)orders. During the congress we organize a series of 2 hour lunch gatherings during the congress.

These gathering are open spaces where everybody can bring in discussion topics and proposals for future collaborations. They are sites where you can

• meet people with similar research interests
• propose a book project or a special issue
• suggest topics for future research proposals
• look for co-authors for future publications
• discuss your latest or ongoing publications
• try out or discuss new (research-)method
• network and invite researchers to your university
• develop new themes and research together

You can already propose topics and ideas for the DNC6 lunch meetings by filling out this document. Please send this document to Susanne Maria Weber via susanne.maria.weber@uni-marburg.de . Susanne will collect the themes and organize the meetings.
