Posthuman Discourse Studies

Descrição

Posthuman Discourse Studies brings together researchers interested in how discourse shapes and reflects understandings of the human, the nonhuman, and the posthuman. The group focuses on posthumanism and transhumanism, examining discourses surrounding robots, cyborgs, humanoids, and androids across literature, media, science, technology, and everyday communication. It explores how these figures and concepts are represented, negotiated, and contested, with particular attention to questions of identity, embodiment, agency, consciousness, and human–machine relations. Welcoming theoretical, methodological, and empirical contributions, the group provides a space for interdisciplinary exchange and collaborative research into the social, cultural, ethical, and political implications of these discourses.
