My research involves exploring mixed-race identity in the context of Japan. I am using Bakhtin's concept of chronotopes and  Bamberg and Georgakopoulou's small story analysis framework to investigate identity construction of adults individuals. 

I have lived in Japan for more than 20 years thus deploying ethnography in data collection and its further analysis.
