Dear All,
The 34th edition of the European Systemic Functional Linguistics Conference will be held at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden on 1st-3rd July 2026.
The theme will be, the ecosocial environment: a social community and the various material ecosystems that enable, support, and constrain it (humans, human practices, other species with which humans have co-evolved; buildings, tools, landforms, climate, education, politics, warfare, etc.).

We will also have a workshop on writing system networks (John Bateman & Jim Martin) and a panel on Positive Discourse Analysis (including Tom Bartlett & Jim Martin).
We intend to stream some of the main sessions, such as the plenary talks, virtually (but more details to follow in due course).
