Miriam Brunnengräber

I am currently working as a research assistant in the sociological project "Sexual Human Categorization and Disability" (Head: Dr. Tobias Boll), which is part of the SFB 1482 "Human Categorization" (Humandifferenzierung) at JGU Mainz. The focus of my dissertation project is the social problematization of "disabled sexuality" in sexual education. With reference to Foucault and work on empowerment as both an enabling and disciplining practice, I am particularly interested in how "disabled sexuality" is made the object of ambivalent normalization work.
