Innovative in nature, the I-LanD Seminar Series showcases convenors debating issues in their field(s) of expertise. The seminars aim to encourage speakers to reveal insights, introduce adopted methodologies, highlight pitfalls, and expand knowledge in a given area.
A lead host will start the seminar with a general and brief introduction regarding the general topic of the seminar, and the four speakers will have the opportunity to step in in turn with a 10-min presentation (without PowerPoint and highlighting how their discipline, work and/or own methodology/ies might help to tackle and provide some answers/reflections on the topic under discussion, with a focus on the impact such a response might have on society at large).
After the 4 brief presentations, a discussion among the panelists will begin, followed by a Q&A session involving the whole audience.
Scholars, young academics (e.g., PhD students, junior researchers, etc.), and students are actively encouraged to join in and learn more about the theoretical approaches and methodologies adopted in a given field of investigation.
