Dear all,
In the autumn of 2023, we are hosting a series of seven virtual workshops on contemporary online hate speech. Their aim is to establish a dialogue between our research experiences and other expert approaches, opening up the debate on the challenges of hate speech in various areas of academic and professional practice.
In order to reflect the multifaceted nature of the Decoding Antisemitism project and the many possible applications of its findings, each workshop will focus on a separate theme. We are excited to hear from our guest speakers (including a few DiscourseNet members!), who will present their research or professional activities in relevant fields and will engage in a debate on the advantages and disadvantages of the various approaches, and the conclusions that can be drawn about contemporary online hate speech.
All workshops will be held in English and take place via Zoom, between September and October 2023, on Thursdays at 4:00–6:00 pm CEST except workshop 4, which will take place at 5:00-7:00 pm CEST.
