Just a reminder, the NCOBPS Submission deadline is only 4 weeks away. Please take a moment this week to put together a paper or panel proposal for the 2014 annual meeting of the National Conference of Black Political Scientists (www.ncobps.org). The 2014 meeting will be held in Wilmington, DE, March 12, 2014 at the Doubletree Hotel – Legal District.

The 2014 conference will mark the 45th year of NCOBP’s commitment to scholarship, service, and community engagement. The theme for this year’s conference is “Analyzing the Black Political Community: People, Policy, Process, And Politics in an Era of Globalization.” The conference will focus on ideas, issues, and individuals relevant to the Black political community; and raise questions (while providing some answers) about the current state of affairs and future direction of race and politics. We ask for your support in making the 45th anniversary special.

Highlights:

* 2 Nights of Social “Excursions”
* Workshops on “Creating a Political Blog”
* View Documentaries on Race, Ethnicity, and Politics
* Banquet Keynote: Congressman Chaka Fattah
* Luncheon Keynote: MSNBC Contributor Joy Ann-Reid
