I am currently a Lecturer in Sociology at Canterbury Christ Church University, with a research interest in popular culture and discursive constructions of social identities.
I recently completed my PhD at the University of the West of Scotland on the topic of Scottish identity and comedy. My research drew on multimodal discourse analysis and CDA to analyse Stand-up comedy shows and interviews.
