I am not a PhD candidate at the DFG project "East Asian Futures" from Bochum university, Germany. Before I was trained in the sociology (BA) and anthropology (MA) at Freiburg university, Germany. My dissertation is mainly a historical exploration of managerial rationality in the early industrialization context in China. I plan to draw on insights from discourse analytical methods (especially lens of dispositif and governmentality) to give more emphasis to elements of materiality and affect.
