I am a PhD Candidate at Glasgow Caledonian University. My PhD project focuses on the role of agency in the securitisation of migration, taking policing in Hungary as a case study. I am a former police officer and hold an MSc (Distinction) in Criminology with Forensic Psychology from Middlesex University London. My research interests include critical criminology, securitisation studies, critical discourse studies and the application of phenomenology in qualitative research.
